Integrated course of photography and of Italian language for foreign students
The cultural association Imago, which has been organizing cultural events and photography courses since over 10 years, proposes an integrated course of photography and of Italian language for foreign students. Goal of the course is learning Italian language and culture in a strong motivating and captivating context.
The learning method consists in classroom lessons and photographic excursions to some of the most famous Tuscan cities.
The lessons will serve as training for the outside activities, through the use of didactic material especially selected by the teacher for introducing the student to the historical, artistic, cultural features of the visited places. Communicative and interactive, the approach will focus on learning pleasure.
During the trips, while engaged in the photographic work, the students will be able to deepen their Italian knowledge in a context of “communicative full-immersion”: the course will be held by a mother-tongue expert, Rudy Pessina, and the Italian teacher will participate with the role of language facilitator.
The photography course is ideal both for beginners, getting the opportunity to increase their experience in highly interesting backgrounds and with the Master guidance, and also for professional photographers, taking advantage of many and stimulating opportunities. The course is teaching the basic photographic techniques, the advanced use of one’s own photographic equipment and how to choose the specific equipment for reportage, architecture, street, motion or night photography. Moreover, students will learn how to set the digital images post-production with Lightroom.
Because of its characteristics, the course demands for an at least elementary-level knowledge of Italian language (A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference).
Pisa celebrates 2015’s New Year’s Day with an agenda full of events – concerts in Carrara square, celebrations in many clubs, theaters, restaurants and pubs – offered to citizens and tourists visiting the city during Christmas and end-of-the-years’ feast days. On New Year’s Eve, according to the tradition, Garibaldi square and Gambacorti square will be full of people who love listening to live music and welcoming the new year with Midnight’s toasts: a magic night that will close with the usual pyrotechnical show of fireworks.
